Dana J Solano
Interactive Web Designer
I am determined to make the Internet a better place, one website at a time. Well, maybe it's more like a dozen websites at a time in between meetings and presentations, but each website I work on is considered in its own unique context in order to determine what is best for the both the client and the end-user.
Many designers have a process that focuses on only one aspect of web design, and end up creating web design faux pas: beautiful, graphic-heavy sites that use images instead of text, simultaneously causing problems with accessibility, usability, and search engine optimization (SEO); sites with "user-centered designs" that look like their color palette was picked at random; search engine optimized sites that are so determined to communicate to machines that they've forgotten that people are their target audience. Taking such a singular approach to web design makes it impossible to deliver the best possible results to the client and user, so I take pride in having knowledge and experience in design, usability, accessibility, SEO, content strategy, web tracking, along with a passion for learning new and emerging web trends and technologies.
